I was wondering, if it would be possible to use a two bladed sword, about 60'' high, if so, where could it be from, and which skill would i need to use it?

huh,
interesting question, I am not sure I totally know what you mean, do you mean double bladed?
I would have to see the weapon before we made a judgement on what catergory it fell into and it would have to be approved safe for combat. I fyou have a drawing or photo of the blade or even a weblink to an example please email to us or post it here.

As far as where the sword would come from, that is pretty much up to you and your character background. Did you get it in yout travels? was it specially made by or for you? Once I see a picture of the blade I would be able to help guide you as to what country or land the style may have come from.

thanks for your question!

This reminds me. Darth Maul style weapons are one of the weapon types I will probably ban from my own game.

I've seen many people try to build double bladed weapons. What they almost always amount to is a staff with a handle in the middle.

I would much rather a person made a staff that is safe along it's entire length.

You can wield it from the middle, if you wish.

But as soon as you realise that it is much more efficient to actually take advantage of the length of the weapon, you can immediately switch to using a staff the way it should be used in a LARP. Holding it at the end and keeping your opponent further away than his sword reaches.

Banning double bladed weapons just keeps people from needing to go through that painful learning process that involves a lot of wasted foam.

My two cents.

oh, that makes sense. . .I did not think about the Darth Maul weapon. . .good point.
I do not see this style or design of sword really fittng into this world but maybe that is because I think it is very sci-fi because of the Star Wars/Maul thing.
I would agree, really a Darth Maul style "sword" is just a staff and would be treated very much the same way game mechanics wise. There would technically be no difference between this sort of weapon as a staff or sword, this is coming from the perspective of the world of Meridian.

I guess it would just be a design element really.
That said, in my opinion since the idea of a Darth Maul style blade is very much seen as a sci-fi element to a lot of people, it would probably seem out of place in Meridian. . .but then again I have not seen the specific blade that is in question, so I will reserve my judgment till then. . .
